Océ 9700
The Oce 9700 is in reality an emasculated 9800. Better than 95% of the parts are interchangeable between the two printers.
There are substantial differences between the 9700 and the 9800 scanners. The 9700 operates at twenty-one feet per minute and very rarely has
the "scan to file" features. It is generally limited to plot and "scan to print" applications. Since the 9700 is in reality a 9800 without the
"oomph," it has all of the feature and shortcomings of the 9800. Oce' in their infinite wisdom believed that they could fill the void between the
9600 and the 9800 with this striped down machine. What they did was create an animal that is neither "fish nor fowl."
