High Speed Printing

The exceptional speed is achieved by a newly developed, ultra-high density (7,680 nozzles) wide head, plus bi-directional printing.

MicroFine Droplet Technolgy

At the core of Canon's latest original achievement is it's MicroFine Droplet Technology, made possible by high-precision manufacturing technology for the head, and a completely new ink-firing system. By mounting a heater at the end of each nozzle, the print head is able to fire ink straight down, ensuring consistent and accurate dot placement even at extremely high speeds. This ink dispersement technique provides increased ink-head power, speed, and overall control of the printer.

Large-volume ink tanks

The 330ml ink tanks for each color are designed for large-volume printing. Productivity is further enhanced by a tubing system that allows ink to be supplied continuously from the ink tank to the print head.

Network Support and multi-interface options

By offering 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet connectivity, plus USB 1.1 and Firewire (IEEE 1394) the W7200 is a true network powerhouse, that will fit in any printing environment.

Ultra high speed:

The W7200 operates at exceptional speeds, thanks to Canon’s innovative print head technology. 7,680 tiny nozzles distribute ink quickly and evenly, providing A0 output in only 2 minutes*. Superior colour quality:

The 6-colour printing process – including one-sixth density photo cyan and photo magenta- ensures that colours are printed far more accurately, for enhanced colour precision and greater tonal depth. What’s more, the multi-nozzle print head enables exact ink delivery of microscopic droplets that are consistent in shape, size and density. With a 600 x 1200 dpi resolution even on standard mode, you can rely on sharp reproduction for the finest details.

Cost-cutting productivity

High capacity, single ink tanks for each colour can be changed separately, preventing wastage and reducing costs. A tubing system supplies ink continuously to the print head, and ink levels in each tank are constantly monitored. There’s an optional, automatic media take-up unit to allow continuous printout of a media roll without automatic cutting, making unattended printing a productive possibility.

Full media flexibility

The W7200 accepts a vast range of cut, or roll media, printing right up to a maximum A0 width. This means that the W7200 is suitable for extensive applications in the professional printing or photographic industries – and graphically orientated office environments.

Space-saving design:

Thanks to its compact design, the W7200 does not take up a lot of space. All operations are performed at the front of the printer, including loading and retrieval of media, making it the perfect choice in cramped surroundings.

Simplified operation:

A large operational panel, with clear layout, ensures effortless use. All media settings and changes to the ink tank set up can be handled at the control panel. Loading media is a simple matter of pulling out the tray and installing the media roll from above.

Easy network connection:

The W7200 provides full network support for PC and Mac platforms via its multi-interface. It supports Canon’s NetSpot® Suite management utility software – enabling integrated management of printers connected to your network.
